William Baxter’s annual Chairman’s Golf Day was for many years a highlight of the Hospitality Action events calendar.

It offered a chance for golf enthusiasts from across hospitality to join William for a day of fun, fundraising, and friendship.

The event embodied William’s infectious joie de vivre, and his commitment to living life to the full and doing good to others.

Over the years, it raised £170k in support of Hospitality Action’s work to support hospitality people in crisis.

The UK hospitality family was shocked and saddened by the news of William’s death, last October.

William was a pioneering and much-loved entrepreneur who shaped the landscape of today’s foodservice sector, a joyful, compassionate, and generous man.

This September, to honour his legacy, we’ll be holding the William Baxter Memorial Golf Day.

The event will be a chance for those who knew, loved, or admired William to get together, play some golf, raise some money, and toast dear William.

It’s no exaggeration to say that the lives of hundreds of thousands of hospitality people have been improved as a direct result of William’s guardianship of HA.
