Lockdown made us all realise just how much hospitality enriches our lives, and how keenly we miss our favourite restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars when they aren’t there.

Putting on a special event is a great way to celebrate our diverse and vibrant industry.

We’ve seen supporters host quizzes, open mic nights, gigs, festivals, online bingo and virtual cook-a-longs in our name. Money can be raised via ticket sales, donations, raffles or auctions. We’d love to join in and talk about our work or send case studies for you to share with your guests.

Many virtual events have also made a real-word return, from pop-ups, guest chef nights, golf days, drinks receptions and festivals, the choice is yours.

When working on your event, it’s always worth setting a fundraising goal and planning how to get there. Keep your target audience in mind and establish a theme to help attract as many people as possible. Network has much as you can to increase attendance and share news of your event across social media, tagging us in at the same time. And remember we’re here to help every step of the way!
