Blog. Chefs' Dinner at Rudding Park
October 2, 2024 | Author: Sophie Stevens
On Monday evening a phenomenal team of the North’s finest chefs cooked up a storm for a superb fundraising dinner at Rudding Park in our honour and raised funds to support those in the industry who have fallen on hard times.
Our thanks go to Stephanie Moon, All Things Food for hosting the evening. Guests were treated to a drinks and canapé reception, before tucking into a spectacular four-course meal interspersed with insightful chef interviews.
Heartfelt thanks to:
Chef Tim Allen, of one Michelin star sō-lō Restaurant, for delivering a beautiful Starter; Maple salt baked celeriac, Apple and celeriac remoulade, truffle snow and puffed potato.
Chef and Hospitality Action Patron Nigel Haworth, of The Three Fishes, for treating us to a magnificent tasty Fish Course; Morecambe Bay Dover sole, shrimps, pickled fennel, fennel oil, smoked butter, fennel pollen.
Chef Ruth Hansom, of Hansom Restaurant and Wine Bar, for her mouth-watering Main Course; Pork and its cheek, roasted onion, Heritage beetroot, black garlic.
Chef Adam Jones, FIFTY-TWO at Rudding Park for completing the evening’s culinary experience with a delectable Dessert; 64% Manjari Chocolate, Amaretto, Fig, Fig Leaf.
Rudding Park’s team including GM Karen Tyson and MD Matthew Mackaness, the Chefs and the Events, Conference and Banqueting teams for their stellar support.
Berkmann Wine Cellars and Hallgarten Wines for providing the beverages and to Caterite, Ribble Farm Fare, Midland Fish, Wellocks and Wiltshire Truffles for supporting the course ingredients.
Finally, many thanks to all our guests who participated in the evening’s fundraising. As a charity we couldn’t do our work without you, and we can assure you that every penny that was raised will be spent wisely helping thousands of hospitality households facing extreme food and fuel poverty and poor mental health, associated with the increase in living costs crisis.
Keep an eye on our events calendar to see what events we have coming up near you. Or, if you’d like to host an event of your own to raise much needed funds for hospitality families in crisis, please get in touch.
